We make use of our homeware daily, so why not make it a pleasure to use: beautiful and tactile as well as functional! With items from plates and bowls to mugs and jugs in lots of different designs, my wheel-thrown stoneware pottery will bring a warmth to your home – and your daily living.

Wheel-Thrown Homeware

All my homeware is fired to extremely high temperatures, which make it oven- and freezer-proof, as well as dishwasher-safe. Some care still needs to be taken, however. Treat your homeware as you would any other ceramic homeware you have: don’t take it between extreme temperatures (hot to cold, cold to hot); don’t hold it over direct heat; and don’t let it boil dry. Also, do not use a microwave because some types of clay and glazes contain metallic oxides, meaning they are not microwave-safe.

Many of the wheel-thrown homeware items in the gallery below have already been sold. I also take commissions, so I can make items to your bespoke design, size and finish. Please contact me (see below), if you would like something original and personal.

Dimensions
Because all work is handmade and there is natural shrinkage when the pieces go into the kiln, the dimensions below are estimated, rather than exact. However, they will give you an idea of the approximate size that items are and can be made to.

All-purpose bowls
Large: diameter 23–29cm; height 11–19cm
Medium: diameter 16cm; height up to 12cm
Small: diameter less than 16cm
