Some homeware items are highly decorative. Most of my hand-built homeware pottery has the same durability and functionality as my wheel-thrown homeware pieces, but they can be used as purely ornamental pieces, too.

Hand-built Homeware

All my homeware is fired to extremely high temperatures, which make it oven- and freezer-proof, as well as dishwasher-safe. Some care still needs to be taken, however. Treat your homeware as you would any other crockery you have. Don’t hold it over direct heat or plunge it from hot water into cold water, and don’t let it boil dry. Also, do not use a microwave because some types of clay and glazes contain metallic oxides, meaning they are not microwave-safe.

Many of the hand-built homeware items here have already been sold. However, I may have some pieces left in stock and I will make some of them again. I also take commissions, so I can make items to your preferred design, size and finish. Simply contact me (see below) and we can have a chat about what you would like.

Dimensions
Because all work is handmade and there is natural shrinkage when the pieces go into the kiln, the dimensions below are estimated, rather than exact. However, they will give you an idea of the approximate size that items are and can be made to.
